FAQS

  • How young do kids start to take classes at Gymnastics Unlimited?
Gymnastics Unlimited offeres classes starting at 18 months. At 18 months, kids start with our Parent & Tot Class, the Rolling Ripples. Children 3-5 years take classes in our Waverunner Program. At 5 year, girls go into our Levels program, consisting of Tidal Waves, Typhoons, Tornados, Tsunamis & Hurrincanes; while the boys go into Boys Classes.
  • Do you offer trial classes?
Yes! We are happy to let your child "TRY IT BEFORE YOU BUY IT" - your child can take ONE trial class before deciding whether to sign up for classes. A trial class will be set up in the class that your child would be attending, so the class would need to have an opening in it. If you do decide to sign up, you will pay for that trial class along with your other class fees. Trial classes cannot be done in September or during the summer.
  • Can I change my class whenever I want?
Yes! Just call the office to find out if there is availability in the class time you are interested in. As long as there is an opening, you are able to change.
  • Can my child take more than one class per week?
Yes! In fact, taking more than one class a week helps your child improve and develop strength at a much faster rate. Also, you get a 25% price break on the second and third classes!!!!
  • Am I automatically enrolled each month, or do I need to call each time and sign up?
Once you have started attending classes at Gymnastics Unlimited, we assume you want to keep that class time for the remainder of the school year(2nd week of June) unless you tell us you are dropping; so you do not need to "sign-up" each month. To drop a class, you must notify us in writing and give us a 2 week notice. Please be aware, that when you drop, your class is offered to other students so when you wish to return, you will need to call to see what is available since your spot may have been filled while you were not attending. Also, just not showing up, does not constitute a drop. A written notice is necessary or you are still responsible for tuition. You pay your child's tuition monthly. This pays for your child's spot in class. The 8 week summer session is a separate enrollment. All students are "dropped" at the end of a "session". (dropped in June for "Fall Session" and in August for "Summer Session". There is NO automatic re-enrollment.
  • What are the options for paying my tuition?
All tuition is due by the 15th of the previous month for Recreational classes and the 20th of the previous month for Team. We accept cash, check and credit cards. You can call in your payment if paying by credit card or pay online. https://www.gymnastics-unlimited.net/payments
  • Do you prorate a month in which I miss some classes?
We only prorate the very first month you sign up if starting mid-month.
  • Do we make-up classes when there is a holiday or scheduled day off?
Yes! The newsletter and emails will inform you when there are scheduled make-ups.
  • Can we make up if we miss a class?
    No

  • How does my child get invited to the next level class or team?
Evaluations for the recreation program are done each spring. If your childs' coach believes they are ready to move up or to a team program, they will be sent an invitation.
  • How can I help my child progress more quickly?
There are many ways to increase your child's strength and skills more quickly. Adding a second class(or third) class time develops muscle and the repetition of the gymnastics skill ensures that the skills will be acquired more quickly. Open Workout is also a great way to get in additional practice time - one in which the student can build strength but also work on particular skills that are wanting to master.
  • What do my kids need to wear to their class?
Girls preferably should wear a leotard, or t-shirt and gym shorts and go barefoot. NO sports bras or half shirts. We also ask that they do not wear any jewelry and that their hair is pulled back in a ponytail or bun. Boys need to wear a t-shirt and gym shorts - nothing with buttonsor zippers. Boys will also go barefoot.
